KLS mufflers are constructed of marine grade aluminum and can be custom manufactured per application. KLS mufflers can be fabricated for both gas and diesel motors. Installation, in most cases, is not difficult, nor time consuming. KLS mufflers reduce outside sound levels by up to 25 dba with very little to no power loss.
Mufflers are a vital part of any jet boat, especially in today’s society of conscientious water enthusiasts. Lowering noise levels created by power boats on our lakes, rivers, and reservoirs will help to insure our continued use of these areas.
Seen below in comparison to a typical small block muffler is a QSB Cummins 425 horse power external muffler that will be mounted under swim platform. This external or internal muffler can be built for any diesel application as per boat builders’ specifications.
The two-into-one cross-over muffler is designed to better accommodate stick-steering components, hydraulic reverse, and power steering by saving space in the transom area of the boat. The muffler is equipped with one exhaust outlet through the transom while still providing good access to the pump cleanout. The muffler itself will be located outside of the transom under the swim platform while the cross-over is inside of the engine compartment. The exhaust exits the bottom of the muffler to direct the noise down and to prevent water from being hydraulically forced into the exhaust system. This system works excellently with all marine gas engines. This muffler is built to order.
This two into one muffler system can be used in a twin application. It can also be mirrored for starboard or port mounting.
